Medicare Group achieves Net Profits of QR 76,011,600 by the End of 2025 with a growth of 26.6% compared to 2024 and the Board of Directors recommends distributing dividens

The Board of Directors of the Medicare Group(Q.P.S.C.) met on Tuesday  February 17, 2026, after the Qatar Stock Exchange trading session, chaired by His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah Bin Thani Bin Abdullah Al Thani – Chairman of the Board; they discussed the financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2025, along with the independent external auditor’s report, and approved them

The Board of Directors announced that the Company’s net profit for the year ended 31 December 2025 amounted to QR 76,011,600, compared to QR 60,056,920 in the previous year. This was reflected in the earnings per share, which amounted to QR 0.270 per share, compared to QR 0.213 per share last year. Based on the foregoing, the Board resolved to recommend to the Ordinary General Assembly the distribution of cash dividends at a rate of 22% of the nominal share value, equivalent to QR 0.22 per share

This growth follows the full write-off of all losses related to the branch of Al Wakrah Clinics and Urgent Care Unit in 2024, which positively impacted the Company’s performance during the financial year 2025

H.E. Sheikh Abdullah bin Thani bin Abdullah Al Thani – Chairman of the Board – stated that this growth represents a notable achievement attributable to the efforts of the Board of Directors, the executive management, and all employees. This performance was achieved despite economic challenges, certain political developments, market volatility, the entry of new healthcare service providers into the sector, and other operational challenges faced by the Company during the year, including certain operational issues with some insurance companies in the fourth quarter of 2025

He further noted that the Company’s strategy played a fundamental role in achieving this performance. The Company’s activities witnessed notable stability, driven by the implementation of its comprehensive strategic plans, which contributed to enhancing both operational and financial performance. This was further evidenced by retaining the number of Guests and patients attracted by virtue of the quality of services provided and the innovative medical marketing packages promoted by Al-Ahli Hospital. These packages received strong interest from citizens and residents alike in terms of their diversity, comprehensiveness, and competitive pricing, without compromising service quality or patient safety

The retention of patient numbers was achieved despite a decline in patient volumes under one of the Company’s core contracts, which was affected by global and regional political developments. Moreover, the Company’s strategy of introducing and utilizing advanced technologies at Al-Ahli Hospital significantly contributed to attracting patients due to their precision and efficiency, including the launch of the first photon-counting computed tomography (CT) scanner in the private sector in the Middle East

Mr. Khalid Al-Emadi, Chief Executive Officer of Medicare Group, stated that during 2026 the Company intends to continue implementing its strategic expansion and growth plans, targeting a broader segment of Guests and introducing new services, including dialysis. The Company is currently preparing to inaugurate a fully integrated dialysis unit at Al-Ahli Hospital. It is also expected that, before mid-2026, the remaining phases of the operating theatre and delivery room expansion project will be completed and delivered, bringing the total number upon completion to eight fully digitally integrated operating theatres and eight delivery rooms

In the same context, Mr. Jamal Hammad, Deputy CEO of Al-Ahli Hospital and Medicare Group, added that the expansion project of the ENT, dental, physiotherapy, and orthopedic clinics has been completed. These clinics will be relocated during the first quarter of this year to the new Building (C), which has been equipped in accordance with the highest standards and advanced technological systems

He further noted that a tender has recently been floated for the expansion of the Emergency Department and outpatient clinics, known as Building (D), at Al-Ahli Hospital, and the award of this tender is expected during the first quarter of 2026
